Charity One-Ball Competition

By - 22nd February 2018

On Sunday 18th March, we have our annual members’ Charity One-Ball event which, this year, is raising money for the Downs Syndrome Association.

Entry is £5 and, although it is a competition, the main aim is to have fun!

One Ball is Association Croquet but with one ball per side. According to Oxford Croquet One-Ball “encourages accurate shooting and hoop running. It is also quick and ideal for playing in cold weather as each turn is generally short.”

You may be interested to know that calculating Handicaps for One Ball has changed this year, but luckily we’ve created a One Ball Handicap Calculator to help you work it all out automatically.

Play starts promptly at 10am. Competition format will be decided nearer the time based on numbers. You will need to bring your own lunch and are encouraged to wear something GREEN!

The winner of our club competition will gain a prize and a place in the national play-off at Surbiton on 13th May.

To enter, please sign-up on the sheet in the club house or use the form below. You can see the pictures from past events in the gallery at the bottom of the page.
