In general, not much is known about croquet, but hidden away in a corner of Reigate, Surrey, our club has been established for 100 years, catering for members of all ages, from all walks of life.
A sociable and fun past-time, with the potential for games to range from simple and carefree, to devilishly tactical, croquet is a low-impact sport, which is easy to pick up, but can take a lifetime to master.
Our club also runs a number of purely sociable events throughout the year, as well as a number of croquet-based fun days.
While we’re not the biggest club, we comprise a very healthy 50 or so members, and we consistently enjoy some modest success in team competitions – we’re currently holders of the Longman Cup, and the Southwick 14 Point Doubles, among others.
Trying out croquet couldn’t be easier – get in contact, and we can arrange for you to come down to see what you think; we have all the equipment you’ll need to get started, so all you’ll need to bring are some flat shoes.
And no, there are no flamingos!
