A League v Sussex County

By - 11th June 2018

Reigate nearly staged an incredible comeback against Sussex County in the A League, but instead they didn’t, and simply lost!

After some patchy, but close games in the morning, RPCC were 3-0 down, which wasn’t much of a surprise when looking at the two sides on paper, but regained a lot of pride in the afternoon.

Dominic Nunns quickly despatched Neil Coote with a clinical triple, and thus deciding the winning team, but Roger “Steady Teddy” Tedstone was at his unrelenting best to comfortably beat Chris Coull, Chris O’Byrne won a patchy game against Peter Pullin, and Andy Gray left it till the last minute to turn on the style against Bill Arliss, pouncing on a mistake to run 2 clinical breaks from 4B and 3B respectively to finish.

Given the strength of the opposition, Reigate can take a lot of pride in the 4-3 scoreline. The beers consumed afterwards would suggest that they did just that…
