Played on 31 May, this was Reigate’s first match of the new S League and the first competitive match held on our lawn for some time.
We should have benefitted from home advantage but we picked Cheam as our opponents so some of their team were very familiar with our lawn. That is the excuse for being beaten by three games to one; our only victors being Frank and John K in the morning doubles, but Simon did only lose by 2 in the morning singles.
